Questions
The things people are shy about asking.
Nobody wants to look like they don’t know how this works. Almost nobody does, the first time. Here are honest answers, and if yours isn’t here, the phone is the fastest way to get it.
Working with Jessica
No, we're not attorneys, and we don't give legal advice. When a question needs a lawyer, we say so and point you to the right place. What we do is handle the bonding, the housing, the notary work, and the human part of it.
No. The Triad is home and where we can get to you fastest, but the work runs across all of North Carolina.
Bail bonds
The amount depends on the bond the court sets, so we don't quote a number over the internet. Call with the bond amount and we'll tell you exactly what it comes to before you agree to anything.
We need the person's full name and date of birth, the jail or facility they're in, the charge if you know it, and a phone number where we can reach you. If you don't have all of it, call anyway and we'll start with what you have.
Yes, both, and they aren't the same process. Federal holds work differently and usually take longer, so the sooner you call, the more room there is to work.
It's serious, and the sooner you call the more options there are. We'll tell you plainly what happens next and who needs to be talked to. We can't give legal advice, but we won't leave you guessing.
Housing after prison
Yes, and starting before release day is best — housing arranged ahead of time means an address to go to instead of a bus station. Family members are welcome to call on someone's behalf.
Men and women coming out of state and federal prison who agree to the house rules everyone signs. Every situation is different, so call and talk it through with us.
A photo ID if they have one, any release paperwork, a list of medications, and clothes for a few days. Everything else can be sorted out after they arrive.
Notary
A current government photo ID, the document unsigned, and everyone who has to sign present in person. If you're not sure whether your document needs a notary, call and ask.
Yes — mobile notary by appointment around the Triad, and we can meet at a home, an office, a hospital, or a jail. Just say where you are.
Peer support
It isn't therapy and it isn't legal advice. It's someone who has been through it sitting with you while you figure out the next right step, and answering the phone on the hard days.
Other services
Yes. Whether it's after a move, after a loss, or after a foreclosure, an empty house can still be cleared out and cleaned. We go at whatever pace you need — you keep what matters, and we handle the rest.
We book for clients — flights, hotels, rental cars, and the plan around them. You don't have to know where you're going first; that's part of what we figure out together.
A current government photo ID, and the form or instructions from the employer or agency if you were given any. Call and we'll set a time.
Didn’t find it?
Ask directly. That’s what the phone is for.
No question is too basic and none is too strange. If it’s about a person in custody right now, call rather than write — it is faster and you can just talk.
